The following is a reference resource for on-line information about usability, interaction design, and information architecture:

  Usable Web is a comprehensive collection of links and accompanying information about human factors, user interface issues, and usable design specific to the World Wide Web. Probably the best interaction design and usability resource on the web.
 
  Paul Hibbitts is a usability/user interface design specialist and university instructor based in Vancouver, BC. His links page is a fantastic collection of informative and interesting articles.
 
  Jakob Nielsen: web pundit, user champion, and usability guru. His site contains a wealth of information about web usability, it includes his own bimonthly articles along with links to many other resources.
 
  VanUE is a group of user experience professionals and those interested in the profession that meets monthly to discuss topics relevent to the community. I've enjoyed many of the presentations and have had the opportunity to both be a part of one of their panels and also did a presentation on Usability Testing.
 
  Xerox's PARC research division is responsible for the Graphical User Interface (ie. Windows / Macintosh OS) and many other inventions that make using your computer faster and easier. Their Human Computer Interaction website is a very good source of information.
 
  The Web Design Group was founded to promote the creation of non-browser specific, non-resolution specific, creative and informative sites that are accessible to all users worldwide. This site has a host of resources for the aspiring user centered designer.
 
  A site that contains examples of what not to do when designing a website.
 
  Special Interest Group on Computer Human Interaction: a great place to get in touch with fellow professional usability engineers. SIGCHI publishes research papers and also sponsors the annual CHI conference.
