Wireframes have quickly become an industry standard method of collecting both user and business requirements.   Usability testing is a critical part of creating usable software. Usability testing involves sitting real users down in front of the newly created software (or UI prototype) and asking them to complete important tasks. When problems are found they are recorded. After several individual users have been tested, problems are analyzed and fixes are fed back into the designs. Problems can be caught before they are developed which saves both time and budget. Even the best user interface design can benefit from testing because no software is perfectly usable.
